Here is our first example of direct democracy at Brickfilms. Our elected Minister of Discussion, mrgraff, has resigned from his position and asked that Cometgreen take his place, as Cometgreen placed second in the election. Several people, myself included, have asked whether it would make more sense to hold a new election, especially since there was a third candidate with a considerable number of votes.

Brickfilms.com Proposition 1 – Should a minister who resigns his/her post before the end of his/her term be replaced through process of special election?

Consider this issue carefully before voting. The outcome of this proposition will affect not only the situation with our current Minister of Discussion, but all future situations where a Minister steps down.

Proposition 1 passes with an overwhelming majority.

However, a new poll has arisen for Prop 2, which is expected to be pass, thus cancelling Prop 1. Hooray for democracy!
