Brickfilms.com is planning their annual contest and is putting out this request for themes. The contest will basically follow the format of last year’s IDEA Competition, but with some appropriate adjustments to the theme, deadlines, prizes, and rules.

The contest submissions will likely be shown at the BrickWorld convention being held in Chicago (June 19-22), and we need to first choose a theme for the competition so that filmmakers can start the process of creating their entries. Other issues will be addressed in the next couple of weeks; but the sooner we can decide upon a theme, the more time entrants will have to produce their films.

So put on your thinking tuques, have a shot of vinegar, and start brainstorming. Don’t be shy about sharing your ideas and don’t be concerned about criticizing others’ ideas. We need to choose a theme as quickly as possible and the more options we have, the better are our chances of choosing a good one.

If I didn’t already start the quest for ‘_____’ contest I would have said something, I’ll post in this topic if I brainstorm.

    Oooh, Fight Scenes! 😀

    I’m kidding.

Er… Musicals? Hard boiled detective yarns?

Or how about “most complicated shot ever”. 😀 That would be fun to see the “Behind the Scenes” of.

Or Rube Goldberg … or maybe that was covered in IDEA.

    Oooh, Fight Scenes! Very Happy

That’s probably not a good idea.

    Er… Musicals?

    That would be interesting.
Something classy, like MoB. That’s all I can think of. Maybe adventure or something? Ooh, I got it.
    Trials
    Escapades
    and
    Adventures
    Hmm, needs work.

    I like LittleBrick’s mom too.

    I had an idea.
    SaD: Serious and Deep.
Basically, the theme would be to make a serious film that is not primarily for laughs. And it must be deep too. I guess it’d be too broad.

EDIT Yes, well, we all make mistakes. :'(

I like that Idea too, but people generaly make there films serious for the anual contests(except for krick’s IDEA entry)and you forgot the / in the second [b]
