Chosen Heros Off To Save The Entire Universe.

It’s a try but some of it doesn’t fit in with the word chosen.

SNAZZYSnakes Necromancers And Zombies and more Zombies Yeah!

The Acronymisator strikes again!

I guess what I want to say is, that
first: A night theme might be indeed nice! Not necessarily horror but the ambiance is night
and second: I have a lot of Skeletons Ghouls Orks Mummies Zombies…
and third: Just come up with a topic, I will make it into an Acronym (better ones than above I promise!)

going to start my 3rd film soon, it has a Zombie theme so that would be great if it fell in with this !

I would argue that great films make a contest even more memorable.

True, but the combination makes it unforgettable :P
I don’t care either way, but it is kind of fun (All my opinion) to have a HAT, or FIG, rather than a RISTJEL.

I do agree with you though, if something which is not a snappy acronym will produce better, or more creative films, it would be the road to choose.

My idea is:
TRIUMPH- The Reason I Use Magic Portal Heavily (is).
All entries must be about magic portals, time and space travelling and etc.
basically its a Fantasy/Sci-Fi brickfilm competition.

how bout something about gangsters (I mean those 1930s style guys). It’s been a long time since someone made a REAL action film

Maybe anything to do with monsters or something.

Like samthelegoman1 suggested, a film about American gangsters in the 1920s and 30s would be interesting. The prohobition and the depression offered many unique scenarios.

Films about Lego men who can turn into Lego animals.

Night of Noir (NoN): Films would have a noir-ish atmosphere.
Classic Brickfilm Theater (CBT): Films would be black-and-white, and silent. Would be fun for those who want to work on conveying emotion without words.
Surrealism is Real! (SiR): All films would be surreal.
Off The Shelf (OTS): Films would be based off of a popular tale, such as Peter and the Wolf, Rapunzel (please no!), Peter Pan, ect. I’m not sure how this would go with copyright though…

That’s all I’ve got for right now.

It would afford filmmakers an opportunity to experiment with different lighting techniques than they typically do and a wide variety of genres are well-suited to such a theme be it horror, film noir, science fiction, crime, romance, etc.

If there must be some catchy acronym Night O Interesting Results, or NOIR, could be used. However, I would caution against that as such an acronym might cause people to associate the theme too heavily with a particular genre: film noir.
