A friend and I made a short movie. It’s about a Furby and another funny animal. We used an hour and a half to make it and it mostly consists of credits and things like that.

    Here’s the link: http://www.minifigstudios.net/video/Furby.wmv

    Hope you like it :)

We have now confested that Furbies are EVIL!

    That film was “unique”

And not really in a bad way either. I understand you had a friend helping you an from my experience it is always harder to make a good movie when a friend is over. Good idea, I can see it being made into a somewhat larger movie.
    Sound: 3.5/5
    Visuals: 3/5
    Originality: 4.5/5
Story/Plot: Since the movie was so short it didn’t really have a plot so I’ll leave this part out
Overall, I liked it. Animation of the Furby was better than I expected but for some reason the movie didn’t quite live up to my expectations. probably because of the potential of the idea.

Logan, as a hint for improving your reviewing…

scores like 3.5/5 mean nothing unless you say WHY you give it 3.5 and not 1.5 or 5…

I would much rather read your opinions than a score breakdown.

    *spoilers*

Hmm… seems like the monkeys are banding up with the furbies to make the minifigs’ life more difficult. Interesting!

Your camera is good: clear picture, and good focus. There wasn’t much animation, but the framerate seemed ok. Sound editing was good, though there was some noise in the furby sound that wasn’t present in the rest of the clip.

This film was made out of pure fun so I’m surprised (positively) that you take it so seriously :)

This friend was one those who was with on making “bankranet” and we hadn’t really been together for a long time. I showed his some of my films and he wanted to try making something. We found a house that I had used for the musicvideo I’m working on now. We found a small Furby. We found the car and we found a monkey. We just made it up as it came along and had a 6 secound long scene that we put into my editing program. There we made it a 20 sek long film with some cool noices.

I hadn’t thought of that. I don’t think I’ll do it. The material for a 1 min. movie aren’t there in a way.

Do you mean that the Furby should have said something earlier in the film?

BTW. The music was the theme from “the treasure of the sierra madre”. If anyone wondered…..

Thanks for the reviews. I’m glad you liked it :)

Everything was ausome: The lighting, music, animation, and camera work. What I didn’t like was that it was a little too short. I would’ve liked it a lot more if it was just a little longer.

    Nicely done!
