I know I am getting really asky lately but I see room for improvement so I ask.

I would like their to be an edit feature for both the individual sounds and the categories. If I make a new category (for example, if one section gets to big and needs a new subcat.) I would like to be able to move sounds to it, or change a name if needed. If a Sound Curator misplaces a sound effect I would like to be able to move it to the correct place.

If I accidentally misspell something or mess some sort of information up, or one of my curators, then I would like a feature to be able to edit the sound info.

Lastly, Like individual thread posts I would like each sound to have a link so that if some one requested them in the sound request form I could put a link up when it was fulfilled.

and this is very simple: on the bottom of the sounds page where it says “The sound library is maintained by LowweeK and Jeffthedrummer. Contact one of them through a Personal Message if you have something to contribute.” could you add me please? :) =3

I hope this isn’t to much.

Chosen1,

I think the idea of being able to move sounds around between categories is a great idea. There are currently sounds that are floating around in ‘oops’ area’s of the library because there was no way to correct it once the mistake was made.

Also. It would be great if a sound could exist in more than one category.

Mmmm… I do have an “Edit” button underneath each clip where you can edit the info that’s in the database, including the category of the sound. You should be able to see that too. And on the page where you add and convert sounds, there’s also a link for “category management” – be careful that you don’t create loops when changing categories!

What you can’t do, is
* change the filename of a sound once it’s in the database
* update the MP3/OGG tags along with the database.

I will probably fix these two issues, but not now. I have a film to make, and a deadline.

Stefan.
