Stefan,

we are sometimes getting some error messages when I try to upload files to the system.
Then, If they do upload correctly and I go to the “convert sounds” link… I get no response back from the system. :(
Then, I if select “add converted sounds to database” I do not see the sounds I tried to add… :(

could you have a look?

thanks!
Jeff

Some things do seem to be wrong. Here’s what I changed:

* soundman.php: I found out that the old ftp password was stored there. Changed it to the new.
* uploadform.php: I couldn’t download the already uploaded files. Changed an absolute path into a relative one to fix this.
* uploading into the queue using FTP seems to work fine.
* conversion fails. I’m working to see what’s the reason.

Stefan.

Stefan,

thanks for having a look!
When you get a chance, could you send me a msg with the new FTP password.

Thanks.

Well, it seems that the system is operational again. Note, however, that conversion did not seem to be particularly fast (creating the .ogg preview for one file took 55 seconds!). Maybe you guys should create some shell script to do the conversion on your own computer, and then upload the already converted sounds.

As for the password, it can be found among the instructions at http://www.brickfilms.com/soundman.php and in a previous post in this forum.

Let me know if anything else goes wrong!

Stefan.

Stefan,
It seems we are having a conversion error again.
SCENARIO:
1. I upload WAV to queue directory –OK
2. Press Convert files –OK
3. Choose ‘Add converted files to database’ –NOK
I get warnings saying like this;
Error: file with basename mindgame_motorcycle does not exist in all folders! Fix this manually (e.g. by moving it back to the queue in FTP)!

I then checked all the folders and it seems that MP3′s are not being created during the conversion. FLAC and OGG are OK.

I took a look through the log and there is an error message that says:
>> sh: lame: command not found

So, perhaps there is something wrong with the LAME encoder for MP3?
