EDIT BY BADGERBOY: Instead of creating a new thread about it, I just deleted the spam post before this and edited the title. This was started in hopes of getting the attention of TAAB or ahnt. The following is History’s reply to said spam attack.

Something needs to be done about these spam attacks NOW. I’m not sure if they are bots or human, or whatever they are. If they are bots, get better security. If they are human, give some mods banning power IMMEDIATELY so we can take care of these problems quickly. Of the three admins that have banning powers, ONE has disappeared (Zane), ONE doesn’t want to deal with forum drama, and the other hasn’t posted in 20+ days. ALLOW THE MODS TO BAN THESE SPAMMERS. They are getting increasingly worse and harder to take care of everyday.
I repeat, GIVE SOME MODS BANNING PRIVILEGES IF YOU AREN’T GOING TO TAKE CARE OF THE SPAMMERS YOURSELF.
Sorry for being so rude about it, but this is getting more and more frustrating everyday.

Don’t forget about ImmulaCleplay, he/she/it spammed this site with pornography, which I think is the worst you can do on this site. This calls for action. I had to sit there and watch as one spammer went and completely spammed every forum section was spammed by CHESSPHYCLE. I couldn’t even report all of those posts. This is getting out of hand. We need someone who’s here and posts often, and always observes every post that is made. I think either The Doctor or Badgerboy should become an admin, for they are on the site often and delete spam as soon as they find out about it.
As some wishful thinking, I wish that I were a mod(Hint, Hint), for I observe every post made on this site that I can have access to. But this is just some wishful thinking.

I wouldn’t mind being an admin. I’m confident in my ability to make this forum a better place.
EDIT: I deleted a good chunk of the giant amount of spam that was made, but there’s no way I can get all of that at this moment. We need to take another form of action.
EDIT: He seems to be posting often. I deleted everything out of getting started a few minutes ago and there are already new threads popping up

This latest spammer has only posted from one IP, so banning him should theoretically stop it, but I don’t know too much about spambots (assuming this is a spambot, of course).
Do we have any solution yet, TAAB? And why haven’t you even tried banning them?

I forgot to add that Ahnt seems to have passed away as I have not heard back from him and he usually responds within 24 hours

We will not get into that again.
But now that you mention it, it wasn’t me who stuffed up. Come to think of it, I don’t believe I’ve ever abused my powers. I’ll admit I made a mistake during my modship but that had nothing to do with the powers and was simply while I was a mod and not done with mod abilities

I can’t say that the Doctor has ever abused his power, but he does seem to get…wild with them sometimes.
But this isn’t the place to discuss that.
This spam bot is fast. Its hard to keep up with him.

I know, I came hee this morning, before the spamming started, and left for just a sec, and came back, and all of these posts were here. I’ll be scared when there are no mods around.
