I’ve seen his posts, but I haven’t looked at the site in question.
From what I can tell, it seems like he’s just trying to attract some more attention to his site. I’d probably say something to him abut posting it in multiple places, but I don’t think there’s any malicious intent behind it.

I’ve been deleting them since they became spam, if he does it again I’m deleting his/her account and posts.

He posted links on BiM. I didn’t see the ‘spam’ posts, but he’s just made his own forum and wants people to join it alongside the site they are already on. There’s no harm in it – people have tried it many times in the past (normally without success).

no i would not consider it spam, i have visited his site and it is just another brickfilming site where there is just an extra emphasis on punk, and just being revolutionarily different, in one of his posts i got the idea that he either personally knows smeagol or just was inspired by him. in the end it is really up to the individual if he will be drawn away from this site or just add this site to his list of BiM, BF, BP! or just ignore the posts! he is no harm in my view, and actually an opening to spread some news of what is happening at this site (considering the fact that my signature over at his site is a CASAL banner). he has become a member of this site and BiM (and more active member than many) and i don’t think he is spamming.

I haven’t said anything about it because I just wanted to see what would happen, but there have been a lot of spam topics recently, which leads me to believe that I was the only one that deleted it when I was an admin. One in particular has been there since the day before I resigned.
So my question is why is it that a well-meaning but misguided member gets threatened with a ban, but spam bots spam the place all the time but nothing gets done about it?
Also, Doc, you said you’ve been deleting thesmellofclouds’ posts, but there are still some of his posts around (the same amount since a few days ago, actually). I’m not accusing you of lying, I’m just wondering what’s up.
