It’s BankGothic Md Bt, actually. Different than just BankGothic, I believe. Also keep in mind that I adjusted the spacing between letters, so just typing out “SUPER” in the right font won’t look right with default spacing.

Anyway, I like your idea, Lech. I was somewhat worried for a while that many of the minor characters introduced in the discovery scene wouldn’t fit with the rest of the film. This is a great way to allow them to still participate if they’re cut.

    Cool idea…
We probably won’t do any more super stuff besides the real thing, but it will still be cool to see it.
Oh and if I get bored of our Kensington sig, can I use the super one too since 3 people already are?

You can always make a sig for your character, like I did. And a character avatar, too.

Yes but there should be little control over what the animators do.

Sure, go ahead, it’s meant for anyone who wants to promote the project to use.

The guidelines and rules are meant for people who want their film to be canon with the Super Universe.

Speaking of which, let me put some out here for discussion.

    Your thoughts on these, please:

    • In order for a film to be canon:
    • It must relate to Super in some way.
• Until Super is released, NO spoilers allowed.[/*]
    • Should not contradict with Super’s storyline.[/*]

    [/*]
Animation should be acceptable quality.[/*]

Should have a story of sorts. Plot should be run by me before going forward with it.[/*]
If you have anything to add, please post.

How long can each thing we make be? I’m still a bit confused. Can you re-explain the whole thing in one post, please?

We’re creating an Expanded universe of sorts for SUPER, allowing people to tell their own stories (in other words, make their own film) of how they discover their power and what they did with them when they couldn’t in the SUPER film due to time and pacing.

This is mainly aimed at members of the project whose scenes are being reduced or cut out. It is also aimed at folks outside of the project who wanted to be part of it but couldn’t, basically everyone else.

You’re an animator. You saw the premise of SUPER (wake up with powers, what do you do?) and you formulated in your head or dug up some past superhero role playing game scenario you made up in your childhood that answers the premise. But before you even get to start, you’re smacked with strict requirements and demands and the possibility of it being excluded in the SUPER film.

Here’s an opportunity to be included. If I must use the Star Wars Expanded universe as a reference: the 6 films just focuses one group of people, the Skywalker family. We know nothing about the Solos, the Wookies, the taxi driver, the Jawas that sold R2-D2 and C-3PO to the Lars in the film, etc. We find out about them in the Expanded Universe through novels, comic books, and video games canon to the Star Wars universe.

Going with Heroes as another example: The wireless character Hana Gitelman only appeared briefly in the TV series and little else is known about her. That’s the same idea with minor characters in SUPER who only get 1 or 2 scenes in the film. That character is expanded on in online comics. Now we know more about her and what happen to her. In the Super Universe, you get to know more of that minor in that character’s own short film.

I may be able to tell stories, but I only have my own perspective and experience to base off of. Like George Lucas, I’m allowing other creative minds to expand from the film with their own storylines. But also like George Lucas, it must be accepted as canon.

The length of the film depends on how you want to tell your story.

To add to the developing guidelines: Currently there are still enough powers to make up or choose from so no duplicate powers. That means no Telekinesis, Flight, Force field, power negation, metal phasing, animal shapeshifting, etc.

Of course, eventually, there would be little powers left to choose from. At that point, I would allow duplicates as long as the person distinguishes it from another person with the same power.

For example: one person can fly without any use of propulsion. Another can fly with the use of wings or can only levitate.

Is this open to non-super animators? I think it would be fun to do a short thing like this.
