Hah, yes, I would love for it to go abroad. We can definitely work on that later. Right now I need to sleep. Me and Maxime stayed up until 2am talking and drinking tonight and I’ve got a really early train to catch tomorrow but this has all been a great experience. Tonight’s screening went even better than yesterday’s. Pics will be up shortly. |

Here are the pics from the event last weekend. Maxime and his girlfriend Laurence flew in from France and I took a southbound train. We teamed up in Uppsala and had a great time. We were actually booked on the same hotel, independently of one another. Like I said it was a great time and I was pleased with the turnout. The crowds loved the films and me and Max had some very interesting conversations back at the hotel. And I think he liked the Xide brand cider we have here. Audience first night, at the Grand theatre: Audience leaving, second night. At the Filmstaden theatre (a real movie theater): During the screening of Prisoner John Strikes Back (“Shoot yo, we’re forked!”): Edited for language by Hazzat. Maxime and me after the second screening, before the beer: |

Hah, what **** just happened, Hazzat? You edited the quote in my previous post (the one from Prisoner John) because of language. Are people in here so freakin’ sensitive the f-word is prohibited? I’m not mad or anything…it’s just weird. Especially since it’s no longer a quote and you’re actually changing Elie’s script… Please, let’s tone down the profanity. Remember that most of our members are still kids. – Leo |

Hey, it’s meant to be a family friendly site. It’s a moderators job to change swear words and stuff, even if they part of a quote. |

Sorry but that it complete bs. Swear words have never hurt a single kid. If you’re family friendly, start censoring some of the more violent films instead. |

Violent films (or any films not for kiddos) that are on this site usually have a warning with them saying it’s not really material for young kids (or the easily offended). This way people know that the film contains material not suitable for children. As these forums are supposed to be family friendly, such a warning shouldn’t be needed for the forums. |

Zepper, I understand your concerns. However, the moderator team wants this site to be available to kids – the group who actually makes up most of the users here at brickfilms.com. Many of the parents of kids would rather them not be visiting a site where heavy profanity like that is used in the forums. As a result, we would be grateful if you could tone down the language a bit. You’re more than welcome to express your opinions, but please do it in a way that is appropriate for this site. Many thanks. - Leo |
