I was going to ask that myself, this being my first contest as well. My old idea went down the drain and with my new idea, I’m eager to post, but I want to know if I have to wait, too.

Please wait until the submission date to post your film in P&R.

is it ok, once I have a realmedia file, to zip it to reduce the file size even more? or is that not accepted for this contest…I’m just worried about my picture quality…if I keep compressing it it’s not going to look very good.

The reason for having a contest compliant format is to make sure that absolutely everyone, whether on dial-up or broadband, Mac or Windows or Linux, can download and watch every film.

I don’t think zipping your film will reduce its size any more.

Hey Rev, is my film in the contest now, I mean, does it meet your approval? Just wondering.

Also, can we have multiple file sizes when posting it in the forum or does it have to be 3MB per minute? Thanks!

yeah, I was planning on uploading a hi-res version and a low-res version, but only the low-res version for the contest. I guess if the judging isn’t really based on video quality because of that, it should be fine. THanks for the help!

I’ve just send the email with the download-links to RevMen. Woohoo, I can’t believe it: I actually made a brickfilm!! After such a long while…

    Now the waiting game begins.

Seems like postbrickfilms.com is down. Do you have the files, Mr RevMen?

I have e-mails from both of you, so your films are entered even if I can’t download them right away.

Yes, htf, you can use several different formats in addition to the 3 MB/min version.
