Well, there is a loophole. The raven is from a book.

I didn’t know that “The Raven” was sold as a book just for itself until just now. I didn’t think they could make a 51 page book out of the poem. It must have pictures in it or something.

So, why don’t you just submit the raven as the entry for books to bricks? It’s a form of literature…

Of course this is Aled’s call, but I think allowing not only extracts from books but any form of literature would make this into a very different contest. I want to see a Raven brickfilm as much as anybody but it’s not a book, it’s a poem. Whereas a brickfilm adaptation of The Raven would be a complete story, a single scene from a book is not so I imagine this would create a dilemma in the judging process. (Which is better? The car chase from The Bourne Supremacy, or Pixar’s short film Geri’s Game?)

can you do just a chapter to?

if people see that it might incourage them to read the book

and i think it’s hard to put a whole book in less then 3 min

but if i’m doeing this it will be: a Trailer or chapter

No, your only supposed to to part of a book, not all of one, so a chapter is okay.

If a book has a couple dozen short stories, could I do a complete version of one of them and have it qualify for the contest? I’d kinda like to enter, but I don’t know if I’d have time anyway.
