A while ago I submitted an idea to RevMen for a Community Project. This was a take on Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. I submitted to him just an edited synopsis of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory but Charlie And The Brick Factory. Now I know a take on CATCF wouldn’t be to good but the idea of getting to visit the Brick factory could be promising. And as lots of rooms would be used for different processes this could help let many animator participate. Currently there is an idea but no story. Do you think that this could work as a CP or do you think it could be better as a contest? I know there are a lot of Community Projects just now so I don’t expect this to go far just now but it could work well in the future. What are your opinions on a film relating to The Brick Factory. |

I think that’s a great idea for a CP. I’d be happy to help storywrite or animate (once I get my camera). |

It sounds like a easy and fun CP. I think it would work. |

Maybe if each animator did 30 or so seconds in their room, and more than one room if they want to, it would work. It seems like a doable project. DO NOT TURN IT INTO A CONTEST. |

I was thinking of a ‘Scrolling film’ just a simple visual film no story.
Where a conveyor belt is what we follow. Or perhaps someone walking along with the conveyor belt. |

This sounds like a good CP idea. Could be similar to that THAC entry. |

People Go in, Pizzas Come out. Yeah, I was thinking that, too, Lech. |

The stages I have are as follow. The creation of the brick will have some fictional elements to it to make it magical. The animators get to suggest what they want to animate. But some stages I want are as follow. -Truck bringing the supplies dump it all in a chute which drops the material onto a conveyor belt inside the factory This is ofcoarse subject to change. It’s just an example of how the process could be shown. |

Ooh. Interesting. If this becomes official, I might as well chip in.
Amen to that, with his soul in such a vulnerable state and all. :wink |

Sounds like a neat idea, I think with Late for Work and Super going on it might be difficult to get much participation right now, but this is pretty simple and wouldn’t take much time to participate in, so I could be wrong. -Smeagol, who has an idea for a CP but wonders if he should wait until Super is near completion to bring it up. |

I like this idea too. Good for filmers to get creative. I might participate. -Timothy__Ratner, who also has an idea for a CP but should wait when there isn’t much |

Yes you should. I would be interested in any CP that isn’t modern day and/or about boring things. |
