They would indeed have creative freedom. But I would like most animators to build there rooms in a way that the clips would work together. If the sets are to different it would be hard to keep continuity. And in a community project like this continuity is very important. |

That sounds good. I was just making sure each animator wouldn’t be “assigned” to make a certain room that other people had agreed on beforehand. So basically we can do whatever we want within the boundaries of something like a generic conveyor belt going through a room. |

Interesting concept for CP. I don’t think I’ll participate, but I do have a suggestion for blending the sets. If this is at all like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, then I think the rooms will all have to look quite different. To help the sets look more consistent, though, they could all have the same entrance door design. So, when a character steps through a door and comes into another room, the door appears the same and thus it doesn’t look as though he’s gone onto a completely different set. |

Seems like a great idea, mainly for the fact that it is flexible for other animators to do their own style (which is what made the original TDBC project so successful). If this were to turn official, I’d probably participate. |

Like, when a fig exits through a grey archway, he enters through the same colour arch? |

Yes, but I dont think it should have to be the same colour, as it may ruin the theme of the room, just the same style will be best. |

Same design but whatever colour fits the room. |

Just thinking about this. When I first thought of this I felt there should be no people in this film and the factory is totally automatic. There could be some people outside of the factory (say, driving a delivery vehicle. However people may have different ideas. If this was just your film would you have people working in the factory? or would you not? Discuss. |

Well, I would have people, because if one of the many machines break down, you have to fix it, or the entire works gum up. So yeah, I would have people in the factory. |

There might be some novelty to having the whole film based around machines with no human/minifigure characters. (Maybe have some anthropomorphic robots, a little like Robota but on a smaller scale.) |

That is what I was thinking. Having no people at all. I think it would work best. |

I think this project should become official. It looks like it has enough interest to get it off the ground. Hope you can get a forum set up to continue developments. |
