We won’t do musicals, it would just be too hard. Perhaps a musical Community Project though…. |

Don’t the Brickfest people sometimes build modules which they plug together at the show to make a huge model, e.g. moon base. Could we make a musical with each brickfilmer signing up to make a small part of it? Or how about making an entertainment show, with brickfilmers making different segments – an interview, a song, a comedian, a vaudeville/novelty act (Juggler anyone?), a band, a game show element etc.. |

Actually, another item that I told Joe I’d work on was organizing a montage of clips made by brickfilmers. Each clip will be between 5 and 30 seconds and will be a reproduction of a famous scene from a movie. |

Yeah, most of the rules will be the same as last year. I think we’re just about zeroed in on a good set of rules for these BrickFest contests. |

Now I could do that. Do we get to pick our own scenes? I guess we need to consider the lead in/lead out of the clips to allow for editing. |

I will start (yet) another thread about the movie scene clips. |

Heh, as Errol sort of said, The Gong Show would be awesome. Or am I being falsely nostalgic, as I never watched The Gong Show while it was on… My age may have something to do with it. How about a film about creating some sort of entertainment? Sort of like a person trying to write a film, or a diretor ‘searching for his/her vision’. |

One other thing for a ”Entertainer” would be a ”Ventrialquist” it’s a thought. Now what else……..hmmmmm…. |

We could do some type of classical play remake. The only thing would be that there would have to be a HUGE twist in it. Liek Romeo and Juliet. Only Juliet would be inlove with a Monkey instead of Romeo or something like that. |

“Show Biz” is often associated with the “Golden Era” of film. What if we simply had movies that evoked that mood and feeling? That doesn’t mean that they’d have to be black and white, but they’d probably have to be period pieces. |

I am for no theme whatsoever. As for what has been suggested so far, I support the “Entertainer” one as it is the most broad. |

Maybe we could do a lot of movie shorts, like those flash bunny things. Jaws in 30 seconds. Alien in 30 seconds. Of course we do have Macbeth in 30 seconds. I’m just brainstorming here, don’t mind me. |

lol that’d be awesome, it’d be cool to do something like that. even if it’s not for brickfest, it could be the movie in 30 seconds contest. |
