The puppy’s proved to be communists. We are now looking at other options for mascots.

Garfield is looking like a good choice right now.

I have received some very interesting proposals by the Coalition Of Quails, and have decided to accept their sponsorship. As part of the deal, each member of TQSFLP will receive two bags of seed every month they are a member. Unfortunately, they request that we boot any French members, and they are not comfortable with Liberty being in our party name. We hope to finish this deal in the next few days.

Thank you for that keen observation.

Your concerns have been noted, and to help further communication, you have been added to the Official Quail Sponsored Freedom and Liberty Party membership roster.

I’ve noticed TQSPFLP is not supporting any member for the ‘Minister of Sound’ position. You’re party would benefit greatly by supporting me.

View my plan here http://www.brickfilms.com/phpBB2/viewto … 955#270955, and my brief encounters in the other campaign threads.

(Summary)
I believe the technical side of the library is fine and we need to focus more on the motivation of members and effectiveness or reviewers.

Thanks,
-Hugo

Let it be known that Monko, Legoman723567, and chosen1 are hereby banned from ever joining or receiving support from TQSFLP for being totally uncool. *cough*

Now then, does anyone have anything to say about nominations for Minister of Sound? I haven’t had the time (or the interest, honestly) to look over what all these people are saying, so I don’t have an opinion as of yet. If no one has any input, I guess Tim would get dibs, as he was wise enough to join our fine establishment.

If Expressing my honest opinion takes away your support then I want nothing to do with it. I’d rather have support from a party that allows Freedom of Speech and Self Expression.

Well, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I haven’t received my bags of seed for the month of February. It looks like the Quails were all talk. And so here we are again, seeking sponsors so that we can afford our extravagant Sunday brunches and manage our endless paperwork. But, after consulting with my political strategist, I have decided it is time to go through with something I believe in quite strongly. I say we reject the lobbyists and their corporate bank accounts and become truly independent; more than that, let us fully realize the ideals that we all share!

And so, as Beyonce is performing at the Oscars, The Quail Sponsored Freedom and Liberty Party (formerly known as The Puppy Sponsored Freedom and Liberty Party) will be changed to The Coalition for the Abolition of Parties and the Reign of Free Thought, or TCFAPRFT. We do not support candidates; rather, we support our members’ rights to think for themselves and vote for the nominee they think is best. I know I’m not the only one saddened to see what could have been a fun and light-hearted political system tainted by real-world political thought, where some members vote for their party instead of their belief. I also believe some have taken the original intent of this party system and have twisted it into something unpleasant.

Unfortunately, these unorthodox principles means we are not going to get into the business of nominating candidates, to both ensure that none of our members feel pressured to vote for TCFAPRFT’s nominee and that other voters are not discouraged from voting for a candidate because the candidate is in so-and-so’s party. This is subject to change, as the idea behind party nominations is that a candidate has at least five supporters. Perhaps, if five members strongly want someone nominated, they can bring it up and an exception can be made.

If this is not to your liking, feel free to drop out and join another, more formal party. Thanks for your past support and all the fish.

This is a fine new provision for the citizens. Why should we emulate the broken real-world method of dividing ourselves mindlessly along party lines? As it is, in the latest election, candidates are outlining their plans and then shopping around for parties. Why even have parties? Let who wants to run, run. If they have a good plan, they’ll get the votes.

I’m not saying that everyone is voting purely on party lines, but it seems to me that parties only encourage an end to free thought and choice — and for that danger alone, they should be avoided.

Unfortunately, our rules still require party support for a candidate to run. This means that it may be necessary for us to nominate candidates, so that as many as possible may run. Ultimately, I would like to see a reform in the system so that people don’t need a party to be able to have a chance at winning. At the very least, I would like to operate this party as a safety net for candidates who are party-less. If possible, I would like to see us nominate all candidates who do not have a nomination (this too might require a change in rules, since, to my understanding, parties can only nominate one candidate for each position).

ditto

I’m distraught. I really wanted to join this party!

Legoman182182, amused by this new method of gaining votes…
