Ok I lied. I thought today was the 20th, but tomorrow actually is…so chances are it will becoming tomorrow instead so I don’t have to rush anything. Sorry for the confusion. |

Quick update. The script is almost finished. I might be an hour past the deadline, but hopefully that shouldn’t be too much of an issue since it’s only an hour. I’ll be posting a new thread for the script when it is finished, and closing the old scriptwriting thread. Oh man. I can’t believe we actually made it this far. Words can’t describe this awesome feeling I have right now that we’re actually going to be completing the rough draft of this very ambitious project. Woo! |

Even if you’re not acting, writing, or animating, you can still contribute to the project by discussing it. The script is finished |

Ok, I have a few questions. 1. Is this movie supposed to make money, or just going to be a free thing? 2. This movie is going to require a lot of legos. Who’s going to pay for them? I, for one, am not made of money. 3. Are we going to split up the jobs of animating, adding sound & music, special effects, etc? I don’t do the last 2 well. 4. Will we do mouth animation like Smeagol does? It makes the movie look much more professional. That’s about all of my questions for now. I can’t WAIT ’till this is finished |

Unless LEGO endorses it, we can’t legally make money off of the film.
Most likely. There will probably be multiple animators, too.
That’s up to The Doctor to decide, I suppose. It’s a very dialogue heavy film, lip-syncing would be a ton of work. |

Ok, cool. But if there’s going to be multiple animators, shouldn’t we all use the same camera? |

There is still the question about all the legos this movie will require. Being only 15, I don’t have an income, except my monthly allowance of $20, which won’t go far.
True, but a real film is supposed to be a lot of work. In a real film, every ounce of effort must be made. Especially since this is a film that no one has tried before(and our first feature-length one) . Just watch a ” Making Of” of one of your movies( LOTR, for instance. You have no idea what lengths they went to). I know that’s easy for me to say, but if I knew how to lip-sync like Smeagol, I’d do it. Besides, you could split up that job, then it wouldn’t be as hard. |

A huge amount of bricks won’t be necessary. Only the animators will need it and I don’t think any of the sets will be extortionately expansive (though I haven’t read the script). |

And I plan to be an animator. It will require a lot more bricks than I got. I don’t think any of the sets will be extortionately expansive . You sure? Ok, now for some questions. How will we put this movie in theaters? Do we have a producer? What legal matters will we have to do? |

I intend to present a deal to the cinema here in my city to host it for us at no cost to us in exchange for all profits/revenue. Failing that, I have many other options here in the city with rentable halls and theaters. I would like to have to opening night at the RSL club as they have a hall with a screen for business functions and they have several restaurants for the after party
Me
Well the only legal matter was with LEGO and they said they’re cool with it as long as we keep it suitable for lil kids and don’t make any profit. |
