I think that is better if you use STOP MOTION. By the way, that’s a great idea, I can’t wait to see the movie! :)

We were already going to use stop-motion.

I intend to present a deal to the cinema here in my city to host it for us at no cost to us in exchange for all profits/revenue.

Failing that, I have many other options here in the city with rentable halls and theaters.

I would like to have to opening night at the RSL club as they have a hall with a screen for business functions and they have several restaurants for the after party

So what about us who live in the U.S.? We won’t even be able to see our own movie :( . And what is the RSL club?

It will probably be put online, and I’m assuming the RSL Club is some local thing.

Well the only legal matter was with LEGO and they said they’re cool with it as long as we keep it suitable for lil kids and don’t make any profit.

Oh, I wasn’t aware we had contacted LEGO.
I don’t suppose they showed any interest in a partnership or anything; budget support of the like? I can see why they wouldn’t of course, but it would be cool if we could work something out together.

I got what looked like a pre-written response. So no budget support sorry :(

However, I do have an idea to possibly get us around $2,000AU as a budget

See the main thread for more information.

EDIT: This is the main thread :banghead:

Anyway, there is a film festival every year here in my city. I won the under 18s last year for $500 but I’ll be 18 this time around and there is some pretty stiff competition in the over 18s. What I was thinking WE could do was a short documentary of no more than ten minutes on TLMP and yes you guys would have to record some videos of your own, send them to me and I’d cut them all together and submit it.

I’ve never been rejected for this festival so we’d get some publicity at least. Hell, we might even score an investor but we would pretty much be committing to this movie if we did this.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a pretty good idea. Even if we don’t get any money from it, we’d get some exposure. Would it be legal to use clips from LMP, since there’s a chance we could be making money off of it?

We’ve entered LEGO films in cash prize contests before. What I was hoping for was actually some examples of peoples work here from previous films to use so we can show what the final product should be like.

I wanted to show some concept art for the film, like some sets but no actual animation yet.

This would be due in October btw

We could have some interviews with people working on it. I’d be willing to talk about the film.

I’m sorry, you guys are losing me.

What’s the point if most of us won’t be able to see the movie on the big screen? I kinda thought this would be put in theateres nation wide in the U.S.! And who will be able to attend this “after party”?

However, I do have an idea to possibly get us around $2,000AU as a budget

Well you guys over there in the U.S or where ever you are can watch what I do to release it here and then copy me if you so choose because you’ll have to organize and fund it yourself unless we can get that budget from winning the festival and that would probably go towards the grand opening here. Don’t worry, I will make sure it is well documented on camera and I intend on having the press involved :D

Those I invite and those who are willing to pay the extra price for the tickets which would include dinner.

Hey guys, I just had an idea today. I play the mountain dulcimer(a kind of medieval instrument) and wondered if you want me to record some celtic/medieval songs. Give me some names and I’ll see if I can learn to play them. And I have a book of celtic/medieval tunes I’m learning to play. I know we’re not quite that far yet, but just an idea. I’ll post a video of me plaing on youtube of me playing.

Edit: I’ll upload a different one instead. The one I first uploaded sounded like I had never played before.

I think you should make it sure that it is well documented on camera and you intend on having the press involved to make it better…
