I hope you enjoy it. There are some flaws in the film, so don’t look for them!!! :)

You need Windows Media Player to view it. If you don’t have the codecs, keep opening the movie so WMP will automatically download the codecs eventually.

(the script, dialogue quality, pacing, and the faces on the minifigs are some of the things which I didn’t spend much time on)

that was awesome! I loved the 30 fps animation, all though i think it might have been a little too slow (in terms of how fast the people actually moved around). But everything else was spectacular, and i especially loved the background. What did you use to make the background? I would really like to know!

Once again, that was an awesome film! Keep em’ rolling! :D

One thing : not enough blood!
The animation was good, the king make me laugh. You shouldn’t have used only one sound for the fight, it didn’t sound good…

Overall 3.5/5

:)

I liked it. Thought the animation was extremely smooth, and :D at the ‘Gladiator’ theme being used.

One minor criticism though, I thought the title was held on screen too long. Aside from that, I didn’t notice any flaws.

Well done.

This movie was great! Smooth animation, great action scenes…

The only problem I have with this film is that all the dialog is too loud for all of he scenes. It’s either that or the music is too loud for the dialogue.

But whatever, I really enjoyed this film!

That was first film of this length, I did an animation test beforehand. The lighting was a bit off because I couldn’t disable the autoexposure on my DV camera :(

You didn’t notice the tape on Robin Hood’s feet when one of the henchmen swung his axe over him? :P heh

and i especially loved the background. What did you use to make the background? I would really like to know!

Canadian Geographic! :) I ripped out 2 pages from Canadian Geographic and taped it to a box which is in the background. It got re-used over and over again. In one shot I forgot to move it so I inserted a filler shot.

Thanks to everyone for their positive response. I worked with a friend on this and I don’t have any LEGO myself so I don’t know when I’ll get around to make another brickfilm.

overall movie-
i thought the animation was smooth and excellent but the movie itself was boring as hell and the voices had a chinese accent :P . I am not a big fan of robin hood so I really did not like this movie but don’t take it personally. I think you shouldn’t have used the chinese music in the end because it just made it worse, but overall good job.

hey, we’re actually getting good remarks (sorta) :o

this is the friend that supplied the LEGO :D

let’s see, what to reply to. heck, i’m still happy with our film. i still watch it myself for kicks.
in response to the chineseness of the film.
You will hear chinese accents because, well, the voices come from chinese people, for the most part

originally we meant to shoot robin, but shot his brother instead to set up a chinese movie feel (if you don’t know, don’t ask)

we’ll see if you can get one more film out before summer’s end :wink

Great film! Most “newbie” films have at least some areas that need considerable improvement, but this one was good all around. The “story-establishing” scene at the beginning added a lot to what could have been just a straightforward battle. The voices were quite good, and amusing at times — I couldn’t detect much of an accent at all. Animation was very good, with the exception of the walking in a few places. The fight between the knight (Sherriff?) and Robin, while perhaps more “theatrical” rather than realistic, was excellent, especially how it was choreographed to the music (all of which was quite good, though it didn’t quite all fit together). The backdrops were nice, and lighting was also good. I did think the opening title went on a bit too long.
Hope to see more movies from you in future!
