I hope you enjoy it. There are some flaws in the film, so don’t look for them!!!
You need Windows Media Player to view it. If you don’t have the codecs, keep opening the movie so WMP will automatically download the codecs eventually.
(the script, dialogue quality, pacing, and the faces on the minifigs are some of the things which I didn’t spend much time on)July 7, 2003 at 12:35 am #7394

that was awesome! I loved the 30 fps animation, all though i think it might have been a little too slow (in terms of how fast the people actually moved around). But everything else was spectacular, and i especially loved the background. What did you use to make the background? I would really like to know!
Once again, that was an awesome film! Keep em’ rolling! 😀July 7, 2003 at 5:25 am #7423

“thedarksideoflego” wrote: very good! 😀 g i liked it it had a nice story to it, the lighting was a bit off in some places and some of the animation was a repeated but overall good. Was this your first try at brickfilming, for i must say i am impressed. It is a very nice little film keep up good worky.
That was first film of this length, I did an animation test beforehand. The lighting was a bit off because I couldn’t disable the autoexposure on my DV camera
One minor criticism though, I thought the title was held on screen too long. Aside from that, I didn’t notice any flaws.
You didn’t notice the tape on Robin Hood’s feet when one of the henchmen swung his axe over him? 😛 heh
and i especially loved the background. What did you use to make the background? I would really like to know!
Canadian Geographic! I ripped out 2 pages from Canadian Geographic and taped it to a box which is in the background. It got re-used over and over again. In one shot I forgot to move it so I inserted a filler shot.
Thanks to everyone for their positive response. I worked with a friend on this and I don’t have any LEGO myself so I don’t know when I’ll get around to make another brickfilm.July 8, 2003 at 1:02 am #7549
i thought the animation was smooth and excellent but the movie itself was boring as hell and the voices had a chinese accent 😛 . I am not a big fan of robin hood so I really did not like this movie but don’t take it personally. I think you shouldn’t have used the chinese music in the end because it just made it worse, but overall good job.
