What does version 3 have that 2 doesn’t that we need?

You guys don’t understand. phpBB2 on this site dosen’t work, it’s not configured correctly and it dosen’t work with the site correctly. phpBB3 is a chance to fix that, it also includes lots of awesome features like advanced private messaging (lets you send multiple messages), it also contains buddy features, subforums and more. It’s also a chance to repair the site and try out new things. Plus it’s not going to go unsupported for a number of years yet, phpBB2 will probably go unsupported later this year or early next year. So there is no point keeping it until the last minute.

I would hope we can keep the same members for phpBB3 if we get it, but please, I want phpBB2 to stay

Zane is making an upgrade, so the users and posts and stuff will be transferred to phpBB3.

Thats what ill be hard at working doing today, figuring out the best way to port the database to the new forum.
