Stefan, I tried to upload and convert an mp3, but after the conversion stage I got a message saying “not all file types created. please correct the database manually” thanks. |

Hmmm. MP3 should work, in theory, and .ogg as well. .flac doesn’t work yet. I’ll look into it soon. Stefan. |

I tested this, and it seems as if .ogg works fine, but .mp3 fails. The system works by first expanding the file to a .wav, and then feeding that to the various encoders. Apparently the .wav created from a .mp3 file is somehow invalid – it uses 32-bit samples. I don’t think it’d hurt to force the samples to 16-bit, but this would theoretically decrease the quality of sounds presented in 8-bit originally. I’ll build it into the system for now, and would like to hear comments. EDIT: .mp3 uploads should work now. Stefan. |
