Lol, its not that bad. When you had 2 rows of front teeth (Seriously!) and your Gfs lil brother continually asks you if you still have 2 rows (IN FRONT OF YOUR GF) you kinda thank the lord your parents could afford them! 😀

    Sorry to go off-topic.

Lucky me I never needed braces… Plus being 36 I would hate to have them now… 😉

Back to my camera, tripod mounted its pretty steady… Now my next problem is neither Stop Motion Animator or iStopMotion on my Mac dont reconize my camera. :( Ugh…

So… Looks like I’m going to need to test out a copy of Adobe Premiere at work now. Which is no biggie, I have it but never installed it since I haven’t had the need for it yet. Windows Movie Maker only allows me to show an image every second. Not sure about iMovie an exporting it to a Quicktime movie yet…

OK. I tried out Stop Motion Pro and it would allow me to import the images which is a good thing for me. :)

The tripod held the camera pretty steady (I think). I saved a movie from SMP4 you can find it here. Its a quicky and dirty little movie, only about 1.3MB in size. Picture size has been reduced to 640×480 from 2048×1536. I used the Intel Indeo Video 4.5 Codec. Wasnt really sure which ones where better then others. Some, like the Matrox ones I have installed for AlamDV didnt work with SMP4.

So far so good… I still might go with a web cam though… Undecided as of yet.

My next steps are to build a stage, and setup lighting (since flash is a bad thing).

How did you manage to import from your camera using SMA?
(I didn’t think you could do that with a point-n-shoot!)

I hope when you do get around to making films that you keep your 2048*1536 versions of your videos. That would be niiiiiiice… :) Just get a faster server… Or send them on a CD to me and I’ll host them! 😀

Okay, I’ve been looping your clip for a couple of minutes now…
The camera leans in (towards the set) as you animate. I don’t know how you’d solve this.

Oh well. Do you notice this? Or is it just me?

Actually I can’t. I saved the images off the camera to the PC, then SMP4 allowed me to import them.

As for the camera “leaning in”. I was wondering about that myself. At first I thought it was from me pressing the button taking the picture and the tripod not holding well. But the more I play it, I think its just the auto-focus as I move the driod towards the camera the background begins to blur more.

I don’t have a grandfather, but I wouldn’t get embarrassed when my grandfather sees me
