That’s right friends. My platform is simple: Don’t change horses in midstream. 2008 is sure to be a big year, and we can’t chance electing someone NEW to provide overall moderation for the forums. How do we know these other candidates say what they mean and mean what they say? How do we know they’ll follow through with their proposals and their moderating policies? With me, you know what you’re getting; you’ve had it for eight-or-so months!
What experience do I have relating to my desired ministry?
Read above, fool!
How much time would I be able to spend performing my duties as Minister of ________?
I’m running for Minister of Discussion, silly template! And how much time can I devote? Probably about the same amount as the last two or three months: not all that much. I will get on as often as possible, but I can’t promise I’ll be reading or participating in all that many threads. I will clean up any spam threads as I always have, and delete/edit anything inappropriate that I see or is forwarded to me as soon as I can.
What are my ideas to expand or improve the Ministry?
This is no time to expand the Ministry! The brickfilms bureaucracy is already far too bloated. Don’t trust these other candidates promising you all these fake benefits. They just want to expand their control over your forum lives! We already have several other ministries which have exploded over the course of the year, and I can’t be the only one annoyed by their control and endless breathing down our necks. I know we may have a lot of Europeans here, but I believe a socialist MoD is doomed to fail and we need to place our faith in personal responsibility and a free market.
What unique character qualities would I be able to contribute to the Ministry?
And my EXPERIENCE!
What is my motivation for running for Minister of ________?
I like my custom title, which I created for myself. And I like having the power to delete or move posts as needed, in all the forums. But I don’t like to tell people what to do.
Is there anything I would change to improve my performance as Minister of ______ upon re-election?
Stay the course, damn it! STAY THE COURSE!
Is there anything that I did during my last term, that I would not repeat?
I wouldn’t accept those bribes again. I’d demand at least $5k next time.
Let’s not chance it with these other crazy people. We don’t know what kind of horrors we would see under their leadership. We do know what kind of horrors we would see under six more months of my leadership.

If cometgreen had the opportunity to make up something about the leader of Iraq, I’m sure he could have thought of something a lot more entertaining than WMD’s.December 23, 2007 at 9:42 pm #355935

I’m betting that Cometgreen re-takes the MoD, with a 17% majority over Trill.December 25, 2007 at 5:18 am #356327
Seriously, Comet, I think the members running for this and other ministries do have some truth behind what they promise in their campaigns. Just because people can’t get their ministries to work due to programming issues, etc., after they are elected doesn’t mean anything. Do you honestly not have any further initiatives to improve your ministry?December 25, 2007 at 6:00 pm #356419
What exactly did you improve last term? I certainly don’t recall any sort of Official Brickfilms.com Puppy Appreciation thread…December 27, 2007 at 5:46 am #356806
I don’t recall being elected last term, nor do I recall making many (if any) promises.
Cometgreen, who thinks the MoD should just moderate
