Hello, I’m Nathan “Lord_Of_The_LEGO” Wells, and I’m running for Minister of Filming Resources. What is my motivation for running for Minister of Filming Resources? What are my ideas to expand or improve the Ministry? Secondly, I will work on reorganizing the Resources page to make it easier to navigate and update the graphics. I will also move all articles hosted on other websites onto Brickfilms.com’s server to insure availability. I will, of course, work with the original creators of these articles to implement that. If the original creator cannot be reached, I will create my own article based upon the information of the original article and cite the original article and author. Thirdly, while I implement the above parts, I will constantly monitor the General Brickfilming, Animation and Effects, Hardware and Software, and Music, Sound Effects and Voice Acting forums and respond to new member’s questions about cameras, lighting, walk cycles, lightsabers and so on by directing them to the proper thread and locking the new thread to reduce clutter. Forthly, I want to start writing my own articles. Many people have asked me about set building and prop designs, and I want to share my ideas and experiences. Also, I will inquire about other skilled members of the community to write articles about their areas of expertise. Finally, in addition to working closely with the Minister of Information, I will work with the Minister of Truth and the Minster of Sound with matters related to their fields, including tutorials in the Wiki and possible tips on sound effects creation.
How much time would I be able to spend performing my duties as Minister of Filming Resources? That is really all I have to say. Please everyone, take the time read everyone’s threads, and get to know what everyone plans to do and stand for. Vote wisely on the 26th! |

I have to agree with you on the idea of posting new resources on the main page, though I don’t think that it should be posted in the news, unless resources are added rarely, or it’s a really good resource. However, there maybe some small space that could be used. Think of something along the lines of the ‘Random Film’ thing. Anyway, not bad ideas. I’m glad that someone decided not to copy my Web 2.0 banner. – LegosJedi — Building Better Resources Today, for Better Resources Tomorrow. |

Thank you for your thoughtful input.
Yes, I probably won’t request an announcement on every single little new resource, but I think it would be good to constantly refer to the resources page on a regular basis. I would definitely want to see an announcement for a detailed tutorial on how to set up self-lit backdrops, for instance. A tutorial for how to make another version of a LEGO cradle/stand for a camera, while useful, probably wouldn’t make the main page.
I like this idea, but I am unsure how difficult it would be to fit it into the main page. The homepage is pretty full right now as it is, and one more item might push it from “full” to “cluttered.” EDIT, also thanks to Munzapoppa Mini Movies and CMMAnimations. |

Now how about interviews? I recall the current Minister mentioned something about those interview articles, wanting to add to them. What are your plans on interviewing brickfilmers? |

Sounds like a solid plan
I thought you could hire deputies when a Minister becomes too busy. |

Thank you for your questions and support.
Brickfilmer interviews is definitely something I want to expand. I enjoyed reading those early interviews, but I think it would be greatly helpful to the community if some newer and more active brickfilmers were interviewed. It won’t be the first objective I implement, but once I get the Resources page reorganized I will start conducting occasional interviews.

Yeah, interviews should come back. But we shouldn’t just have interviews with great brickfilmers. I’d like to see one with Schlaeps to see what goes on behind the scenes with the site. Or maybe an interview with MindGame and/or Tim about the Brickfilmers’ Guide. |

So do you in your campaign thread for this ministry. As of yet LOTL you seem like the most worthy candidate. You’ll get my vote.

Thank you for the input and support LegosJedi and Swordlegends1. LegosJedi, you’ve clearly got some good ideas on how to expand the Resources. No matter the outcome of the elections, let’s talk. Brianfast, I do not feel there is a need to lay out painfully detailed plans. Circumstances and situations change, and there is no point in laying out specific plans if those plans become nullified and void after something happens. Sometimes the finely refined and best-laid plans never come to fruition because of squabbling over the details and unwillingness to change. My list of plans are a starting point and may change, depending on input from other minister and members. |

Thanks, Nathan. I’d love to talk with you after the elections. I’m sure that no matter who is elected, there’ll be plenty of ideas on improving the page, and I’d like to see how many we can get done. |
