I visit this site very day for a reason — I love this site and want to see it grow and become a better place to talk about brickfilming. The news section is the first thing a new visitor sees, and so that news should be thoughtful, current, and useful. I plan on collaborating with other ministers in order to feature their improvements in their respective fields. This does not however mean I will simply wait for other people to tell me to add things. Far from it, I will actively seek out news and information for the front page of brickfilms.com. Regarding the featured film, I will do my best to feature films that deserve it. This will include a mix of classic gems that are worth repeating, as well as new material that perhaps hasn’t garnered as much attention. I will also continue the practice of keeping a list of films previously featured for use by future ministers. I will be sure to keep the featured film free of corruption, and will be sure not to miss the monthly deadline. I’ve written this speech much how I will write news articles. The voice of brickfilms.com should be a friendly, but serious one. An easy to read voice that presents the information effectively and punctually. With this voice, I plan to greet new visitors to our home. What experience do I have relating to my desired ministry? How much time would I be able to spend performing my duties as Minister of Information? What are my ideas to expand or improve the Ministry? What unique character qualities would I be able to contribute to the Ministry? What is my motivation for running for Minister of Information? Edit: I edited my name out of here, because it was altering google results. |

You might want to check for typos. “I am afraid of getting in trouble. I think this is the best quality for a leader to have. This latent quality within me will result in doing my job as well as I can, for fear of being reprimanded. This will also ensure that I will resist corruption, and will not simply feature stories and films that belong to people I like.” Well, since I am running for Minister of Information as well I won’t vote for you, but other then the flawed anti corruption ideals you seem to be ok. |

Would you actively promote unofficial contests on the front page? |

I would like to see more forum updates and community updates on the front page, and also would love to see more news relating to animation etc. What is your opinion on this? |

It would depend on the contest. If a contest is well thought out and organized, I would definately report it. If it is just the normal, “hey guys, lets do a action contest!!!” probably not.
I am unsure what kind of news you mean. A periodical rundown of important new threads? (I would probably not do this.) A notice when a particularly interesting tutorial is added? (This is something I plan to do.) |

Yes, how important do you think something has to be to get on the news page? |

Our news would definitely not be updated daily. Here are some examples of things I would report, or not report. Bratz Stopmotion set – Would not report |

If not daily, then how often? When I was performing the duties of MoI I found it fairly easy (Despite an incredibly busy lifestyle) to update it at least once a week. I honestly think it could stand to be updated even 2-3 times a week obviously depending on the amount of news. (Don’t make something up if things are honestly that boring.) Also, what about off-site news pertaining to brickfilming? Obviously you have the Indiana Jones set listed as something you’d report. (Just Indiana Jones specifically or any film-made-lego set? What about non-film based sets? What’s your standard, because you obviously can’t post a link about EVERY new set Lego produces.) You also mentioned brickfilms.com media stories. What about looking up film festivals around the world and doing a short weekly “these are the major film festivals/stop-motion conventions” going on this week, or even the top 2/3 per month? If you did it for different areas each month then by the end of your term you could have covered somewhere that was relatively close to everyone on the forum. It’d take some research, but there’s plenty of news updates that don’t merit entire threads or have outgrown their threads to warrent being considered a significant brickfilms topic/event. Also, I noticed you said that the time spent wasn’t really applicable to this position. While, it doesn’t have to be – don’t completely dismiss it. It usually gets viewed as the “easy” position, where no one has to really do anything except click a button and paste a link every time someone says “Why isn’t this on the news page?” I’m not saying you’d do this – I just don’t want you to dismiss it lightly, there will be times where it’s more of a time commitment than others, and sometimes it does become a drudge to figure out something to post as noteworthy news. Just a few comments! |

I would really update it as often as the community needs me to. I was generally basing my campaign off of the way others have run this particular ministry, but now I realize that perhaps that is not the best approach. If anyone has any more questions, please ask! |
