    I am curious to know others walk cycles. This is mine (NOTE: || means both legs on floor).

    ||, |, /|, || and repeat.

    The same but, with a middle frame (/). Most animators use that.

    I’ll do the same / if the minifig isn’t holding an object. If the minifig holds something, then it might fall down. There really isn’t much of a difference tough.

    Has anybody tried a mid-stage between the the 2 and 3rd and 3rd and 4th walking phases? Does it look OK?

    I think a lot of this deals with two things:

    1. How many frames you will be using per second, such as 7, 15, 20, or 24!
    2. If the minifig is either holding something or not and if this is the case you have to use StickyTack! I use StickyTack under the minifig foot to hold the figure in place, especially if it is holding something.

    If you want a smooth walk cycle than use more frames per second and it will look much better.
