I remember very fondly the time when I was a kid and when my teacher used to read story books with colorful pictures in them. As a kid I remember I couldn’t wait to get my hands on story books but I remember I mostly went for the books that had pictures in them. The top children’s book illustrators recognize this fact of kids being attracted by colorful pictures and images in books and they use it as a means to attract kids towards books. Illustrations serve as a major component in attracting the kids for reading books. What other reasons can you think of illustrations being used in books for kids?
