Would anyone happen to know how to do a super charge effect? Like particles slowly pulling together to form some type of energy sphere.

I haven’t been able to find any stock footage of this so I wanted to know if anyone had any other ways of doing this.

Well, you could always reverse an explosion. That way the particles would look like they’re pulling together. Then copy and slow down the part where the explosion is hanging in mid-air, and add a spotlight in the middle. And keep the sphere hanging in the air. Doesn’t look too amazing, but it works, and is a pretty good substitute for stock footage.

That’s a pretty good idea! I’ll just have to search for the right explosion to make this work now =)

A really good place for stock footage explosions is detonationsfilms.com. they have free stuff that is actually pretty good.
