Washing Lego base plates?

    My Lego base plates are actually dusty. Should I wash them? Paintbrushes didn’t seem to help out. Do any of you have know-how to do with this?



    I wash mine I even took a scrubber with a brush head to them to get tougher objects out of the grooves.

    Makeup Brushes are great because they come in a variety of sizes. Thus can fit into all of the tiniest spots in your sets. In particular, the large Creator sets. And they are soft so that you don’t have to worry about damaging them. Make sure you use new brushes.



    Basically I just wash the Lego in ample batches in a large soapy basin, after that rinse them and lay them out to dry in the sun.



    1. Put LEGO Bricks into a fine mesh bag with tight closing.

    2. Put bag into washing machine with other laundry and regular laundry soap. Run at a “mild” setting, because higher temperature can scratch your LEGO bricks.

    3. After washing, arrange bricks out on a towel or mat to dry up.
